For Employers
About the Service
What is PolJob?
PolJob is a UK job board specifically designed to connect employers with Polish workers living in the UK. We translate your job ads into Polish, publish them on our platform, and distribute them through Polish community channels including Facebook groups, email lists, and community networks. This gives you access to the 700,000+ Polish workers with settled status in the UK — a talent pool that mainstream job boards like Indeed or Reed don’t effectively reach.
Is PolJob a recruitment agency?
No. PolJob is a job board and distribution service, not an agency. We don’t employ workers, don’t charge placement fees, and don’t act as a middleman in the hiring process. You post a job, we distribute it to the Polish community, and candidates apply directly to you. You handle the hiring process yourself, which means you stay in control and avoid expensive agency commissions.
What makes PolJob different from Indeed or other job boards?
Three things: (1) Language — we translate your job into Polish and communicate with candidates in their native language, building trust. (2) Distribution — we don’t just list your job, we actively push it to Polish Facebook groups, community networks, and email subscribers where your target candidates actually spend their time. (3) Niche focus — we only serve the UK-Poland hiring corridor, so every candidate on our platform is relevant to you.
What types of jobs can I post?
Any legitimate job based in the UK. We work with employers across all sectors, but we’re particularly effective for roles that traditionally employ Polish workers: construction, logistics and warehousing, hospitality, food production, care work, cleaning, manufacturing, and trades. We also handle office-based roles, especially if you need bilingual English-Polish speakers.
Do candidates on PolJob have the right to work in the UK?
The vast majority of Polish workers in the UK have settled or pre-settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme, which means they have full right to work without visa sponsorship. However, you are still legally required to conduct right-to-work checks on any candidate before they start. We can help with this through our Verified Employer Pack.
Posting & Pricing
How much does it cost to post a job?
A single job post costs £79. This includes: translation of your job ad into Polish, 30-day listing on our job board, distribution to Polish Facebook groups and community channels, inclusion in our email alerts to registered candidates, and basic support throughout. We also offer a £49 pilot rate for first-time customers who want to test the service.
What’s included in the £79 job post?
Everything you need to reach Polish candidates: (1) Professional translation of your job ad into Polish, (2) 30-day listing on poljob.co.uk, (3) Distribution to 5+ Polish community Facebook groups, (4) Email alert to all registered candidates in your region, (5) Basic formatting and optimisation of your job ad, (6) Direct candidate applications sent to you. No hidden fees.
Do you offer bulk discounts for multiple job posts?
Yes. If you’re hiring for multiple roles, contact us for a custom package. Typically: 3 jobs for £199 (save £38), 5 jobs for £299 (save £96), and 10+ jobs at £49 each. Monthly subscription packages for high-volume hirers are also available — email us for details.
Can I get a refund if I don’t receive any applications?
We guarantee distribution but cannot guarantee applications — that depends on your role, location, salary, and requirements. However, if you receive zero applications after 30 days, we’ll work with you to understand why and offer either a free re-post with revised job details or credit toward a future posting. We want you to succeed.
The Posting Process
How do I post a job?
Three easy options: (1) Fill out the form on our website with your job details, (2) Email us your existing job ad at jobs@poljob.co.uk, or (3) Call us and we’ll take details over the phone. We handle the formatting and translation — you just provide the basics: job title, location, salary, requirements, and how to apply.
How long until my job is live?
We guarantee your job will be live within 24 hours of receiving payment and complete job details. Most jobs go live same-day. Rush posting (within 2-3 hours) is available for urgent hires — just let us know.
How do candidates apply?
You choose: (1) Direct to your email — candidates email you directly with their CV, (2) Your application link — we include a link to your own careers page or application system, or (3) Our form — candidates fill out a simple form on our site and we forward applications to you. Most employers prefer option 1 or 2 for simplicity.
Results & Candidates
How many applications can I expect?
This varies significantly based on role, location, and salary. A warehouse operative role in a Polish-populated area like Ealing or Southampton might receive 20-50 applications. A niche skilled trade role might receive 3-10. We’re transparent: we can’t guarantee numbers, but we guarantee your job reaches the right audience.
What areas of the UK do you cover?
All of the UK. We have the strongest reach in areas with large Polish communities: London (especially Ealing, Hammersmith, Hounslow), Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh, Sheffield, Southampton, Bristol, Peterborough, and Boston. But we distribute nationally and have candidates registered across the country.
Do candidates speak English?
Most Polish workers in the UK have at least conversational English, and many are fully fluent. English level varies by individual. We recommend stating your English requirements clearly in the job ad (e.g., ‘Conversational English required’ or ‘Must be fluent in English’). Candidates self-select based on this.
Compliance & Right-to-Work
Do I still need to do right-to-work checks?
Yes, absolutely. UK law requires every employer to verify right-to-work before any employee starts, regardless of nationality. Using PolJob does not replace your legal obligation to check documents. Fines for non-compliance are severe — up to £60,000 per illegal worker as of February 2025.
Can PolJob help with right-to-work compliance?
Yes. We offer the ‘Verified Employer Pack’ through our sister service IntelQuest. This gives you a complete right-to-work compliance system: checklists, log templates, audit trail documentation, and expert guidance. It’s designed to make you audit-proof. Prices start at £499. Ask us for details.
What’s the ‘Verified Employer’ badge?
Employers who use our Verified Employer Pack can display a ‘Verified Employer’ badge on their job listings. This signals to candidates that you’re a legitimate, compliant employer — which increases trust and application rates, especially among workers who’ve had bad experiences with dodgy agencies or scam jobs.
For Candidates (Polish Workers)

About PolJob
What is PolJob?
PolJob is a job board created specifically for Polish workers in the UK. We work with UK employers who want to hire Polish staff. All jobs are from real UK companies, and we translate job descriptions into Polish so you can understand exactly what the role involves. We’re here to help you find work safely and easily.
Is PolJob free for candidates?
Yes, 100% free. You will NEVER pay anything to use PolJob. You don’t pay to register, you don’t pay to apply for jobs, you don’t pay if you get hired. If anyone asks you to pay money for a job — that is a scam. Report it immediately.
Finding Jobs
How do I find jobs on PolJob?
Visit poljob.co.uk and browse available jobs. You can filter by location, job type, and industry. All jobs are displayed in both English and Polish. When you find a job you like, click ‘Apply’ and follow the instructions — usually this means sending your CV to the employer’s email.
Can I get job alerts?
Yes! Sign up for our candidate waitlist at poljob.co.uk. Tell us your city and what type of work you’re looking for, and we’ll email you when matching jobs are posted. It’s free and you can unsubscribe anytime.
What types of jobs are available?
All types. We have jobs in: construction, warehouses, factories, hotels, restaurants, care homes, cleaning, driving, office work, and more. Some jobs require experience, some don’t. Some require good English, some don’t. Read each job description carefully.
Safety & Avoiding Scams
How do I know the jobs are real?
We review every job before posting. We verify that employers are real UK businesses and that job details make sense. We reject any listings that look suspicious. However, you should still be careful — if something feels wrong, don’t proceed and contact us.
What are the warning signs of a scam job?
Watch out for: (1) Anyone asking you to PAY money upfront — legitimate employers never charge candidates, (2) Requests for your passport, bank details, or National Insurance number before you’ve met the employer, (3) Jobs that seem ‘too good to be true’ with very high pay for easy work, (4) Employers who won’t give you a company name or address, (5) Communication only through WhatsApp with no phone number or email.
What should I do if I think a job is a scam?
Stop all communication with them immediately. Do NOT send any money, documents, or personal information. Report it to us at report@poljob.co.uk with as much detail as possible. We will investigate and remove the listing if it’s fraudulent.
Is it safe to send my CV?
Yes, it’s normal and safe to send your CV when applying for a job. Your CV should include: your name, phone number, email, work experience, and skills. Do NOT include: your passport number, National Insurance number, bank details, or copies of documents. You only provide those after you’ve been offered a job and met the employer in person.
Right to Work in the UK
Do I need the right to work in the UK to use PolJob?
Yes. All jobs on PolJob are for people who can legally work in the UK. Most Polish workers have this through Settled Status or Pre-Settled Status from the EU Settlement Scheme. If you’re unsure about your status, check your immigration documents or visit gov.uk.
What documents will an employer ask for?
When you get a job offer, the employer must check your right to work. They will usually ask for your Share Code (from gov.uk) or your Biometric Residence Permit. They may also ask for your passport. This is normal and required by UK law. A legitimate employer will do this AFTER offering you the job, not before.
Applying & Interviews
Do I need a CV in English?
For most jobs, yes. Your CV should be in English so the employer can read it. Include: your name and contact details, your work experience (job titles, company names, dates), your skills, and your English level. Keep it simple — 1-2 pages is enough.
What should I expect at an interview?
Interviews in the UK are usually friendly and professional. The employer will ask about your experience, why you want the job, and your availability. Be on time (or 5 minutes early), dress appropriately for the job, and be honest about your skills and English level. It’s okay to ask questions about the job, pay, and working hours.
